A Letter to Future Clients

Hello,

I’m glad you’re here.

Most people who find their way to Mountain Compass aren’t looking for more information. They’re already surrounded by it. What they’re really looking for is help sorting through it all. Help deciding what matters, what to do next, and how to move forward when things feel tangled or overwhelming.

I’ve always been someone people turn to in those moments.

Friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues come to me when a situation feels complicated, when paperwork piles up, when a decision feels heavy, or when they’re not quite sure what questions to ask. I help slow things down, make sense of what’s in front of us, and figure out the next right steps.

This didn’t start as a business idea. It started much earlier.

As a kid, I loved organizing my Great-Grandma Rockwell’s and Aunt Vera’s sewing room. Buttons here, thread there, patterns easy to find, or at least easy to find in my young mind. I didn’t have the words for it then, but I was learning how satisfying it is to bring order and clarity to something that feels overwhelming.

Over time, that instinct grew. Instead of organizing things, I found myself helping people organize decisions.

As an adult, I kept being asked to help with health decisions, confusing processes, forms and systems, and big “what do I do now?” moments. Again and again, people told me how much it helped simply to have someone calm, practical, and thoughtful sitting beside them. Someone who could listen, ask good questions, and turn a pile of information into clear options.

Eventually, I realized this wasn’t just something I was good at. It was work that mattered, and work I truly love.

Professionally, I’ve spent my career working in complex environments where clear thinking and good questions make a real difference. I’ve worked alongside educators, engineers, and healthcare providers, helped teams tackle difficult problems, improved patient outcomes, and designed and led a fellowship program supporting future healthcare leaders. I also hold a master’s degree in systems analysis, which means I’m trained to see how pieces fit together and where they tend to get stuck.

All of that experience comes together in Mountain Compass.

What I offer isn’t therapy, coaching, or advice-giving. It’s practical, steady support when life feels complicated. I help you sort through information, clarify what matters most to you, and move forward with confidence especially when systems, decisions, or processes feel overwhelming.

If you’re feeling stuck, uncertain, or simply tired of trying to figure it all out alone, I’d be honored to help.

Warmly,
